What changed

Real, dated product changes, newest first, in plain language. We don’t publish internal engineering or infrastructure work here — only what you can actually see or use. See how we handle prices we’re not sure about.

Daily Market Brief, and expected-value pricing for sealed packs

  • Launched the Daily Market Brief — a dated, daily read of what actually moved in the market, permanently archived at /brief.
  • Sealed products show an estimated expected value of the singles inside them — but only for the few sets whose pull odds are actually published. Everywhere else we show no estimate rather than model one, so today this covers a handful of products, not the catalogue.

The Hoshino Index gained per-character and per-game views

  • The market-wide price index (/trends) can now be broken down by character and by game, not just as one whole-catalog number.

Tightened what counts as a confirmed sold price

  • Card pages now only claim a confirmed sold price where we actually hold one (currently the US and Japan). Every other market shows a live asking price instead of a sold price we can’t back up — see /honesty.

Card page redesign

  • Dark is now the default look site-wide (light is still one click away, top right).
  • The full per-region, per-platform price grid is free for everyone — part of it used to be paywalled.
  • Added one-tap sharing (WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Facebook, Reddit) and an embeddable price badge sellers can post anywhere.
  • Card pages now lead with the price gap between Asian and Western markets, when there is one.
  • Related cards now show a price and PSA-10 population count, not just a name.
  • The price chart is interactive — hover or tap any point for the exact date and price.
  • The price-by-grade table shows every grade we hold real sales for, and shows a dash — never a guess — for a grade whose own sales are too thin or inconsistent to trust.
  • Added dedicated browsing filters for sports cards (basketball, baseball, football, soccer).
