1. Who we are
Hoshino (“Hoshino”, “we”, “us”) is a trading-card price-intelligence platform operated by Hoshino Pte. Ltd., Singapore (“the Company”). These Terms govern your access to and use of hoshino.com, our apps, and our APIs (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
2. What Hoshino is (and isn’t)
Hoshino aggregates and presents pricing information for collectible trading cards — asking prices, realized sale prices, population data, and related signals — sourced from public marketplaces, auction results, and licensed data providers, and normalized across currencies and marketplaces.
- Information, not advice. All prices, estimates, spreads, and indices are informational. They are not financial, investment, tax, or purchasing advice, and are not an offer to buy or sell anything. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.
- “As is” accuracy. Card pricing is inherently noisy. We work hard to be honest (labeling sold vs. asking prices, thin data, estimates, and abstentions), but we do not warrant that any price, date, grade, or figure is accurate, complete, or current. Where our confidence is low, we say so or abstain.
- We are not a marketplace. Hoshino does not sell cards or process card transactions. Outbound links may take you to third-party marketplaces or proxy services; your dealings there are between you and them, on their terms.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
We offer a free tier and paid subscriptions (e.g. Collector, Dealer, and API plans) at the prices shown at checkout.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. See our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices or plan features on prospective notice; changes don’t affect the period you’ve already paid for.
- API plans are additionally subject to the rate limits, credit limits, and usage terms shown for that plan.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, redistribute, or publicly republish bulk Hoshino data except as expressly permitted by a paid API/data licence;
- scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract the Service outside a permitted API plan, or exceed your plan’s rate/credit limits;
- misrepresent Hoshino data as your own or as guaranteed accurate;
- interfere with, probe, or attempt to breach the Service’s security; or
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.
6. Intellectual property & data
The Service — our software, design, compilation, normalization, labeling, indices, and presentation — is owned by the Company and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service per your plan.
Underlying factual prices originate from third-party marketplaces and providers; where we display a source, attribution and (where available) a link to the source listing are provided. Third-party names, logos, and grading-company marks (e.g. PSA, BGS, CGC) belong to their owners; Hoshino is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
7. Third-party links & affiliate disclosure
The Service contains links to third-party marketplaces and proxy-buying services. We may earn an affiliate commission when you click certain outbound links or make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. Such links do not constitute an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party content, prices, or transactions.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on Service data or from third-party transactions. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or SGD 100.
9. Changes, suspension & termination
We may modify or discontinue the Service or these Terms; material changes take effect on notice (e.g. by posting an updated date and, for significant changes, in-app or by email). Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access for breach.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your place of residence.
