Is it worth grading — and where do you sell it after?

Compare what the card sells for RAW against what it sells for at each grade, subtract the grading fee, the shipping and the selling fee, and weigh the result by how likely each grade actually is. This tool does that from Hoshino's own recorded sales. Where a grade has fewer than 3 confirmed sales of its own, it publishes no price for that grade rather than interpolating one from the grades either side.

A service whose current fee we do not hold abstains rather than being priced with a guess.

It depends on the card, because the fee is only half of it: the other half is what a slab from that grader actually resells for, and that differs per card and per market. This tool prices each route separately and will only publish a net value for a grader whose slabs of THAT card have actually sold often enough to price. Where they have not, it says so instead of estimating a CGC price off PSA sales.

On the fees we model, the cheapest PSA route in Japan is PSA Japan Value at $31.00 (45 business days, declared value up to $500) against PSA Regular at $79.99 in the United States. The slab is the same PSA slab, so the resale side is identical — which is why the tool shows both routes separately. Submitting in Japan has its own requirements that we do not model; check them before you post anything.

That is the half of the question every other grading calculator skips, because it only holds one market. Hoshino holds Japanese and Western recorded sales for the same card at the same grade, so where both sides have enough confirmed sales the tool shows each side's median, each side's selling fee, and what you actually keep on each. It is fee-net only — cross-border shipping and import duty are not modelled — and where either side is thin, it abstains.

Real recorded transactions on the venues Hoshino tracks, compared inside ONE grade tier and never blended across grades or across markets. Asking prices are listings, not sales, and are never used as a price here. Price-guide points are published figures, not sales, and are labelled as such. Inferred sales — reconstructed from a listing disappearing — are counted separately and never treated as confirmed. Hoshino reports recorded transactions. Nothing here is investment advice, a valuation, or a prediction of what grade any individual card will receive.
